If you're looking for an easy-to-use but robust photo and image editing tool, PicsArt Studio fits the bill. And it manages to pack its rich set of features into the more limited interface of a phone. It's easily the most feature-rich mobile photo editing tool available on the Play Store today, but it can take a little bit of time to wrap your head around all the possibilities available here.

In fact, most of the essential tools that you'd find in Photoshop are available here. You can crop and rotate photos easily, but you also have the option to add text, stickers, or doodles drawn directly onto your photo. Pictures can be shot within the app or imported, and there are a number of frames and effects available as well. There's even the ability to combine multiple photos together for a collage effect.

And when you get your picture looking the way you want it, it's not difficult to share. PicsArt Studio offers one-button integration with popular social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter. They also make it easy to upload your new photos to a Dropbox account.

It can sometimes feel like there may be too much of a good thing here, and that may actually be a turn-off for some users. There's a lot to digest here, and that means a lot of menus to navigate. And while PicsArt Studio does about as good a job as possible, there's still a lot to sift here. But for those who want a serious photo editing app on their phone, the learning curve will be worth it.

Pros:

  • Stacked with a huge amount of features
  • Condenses vast tools into a compact package
  • Easy sharing on social media

Cons:

  • Interface can get pretty cluttered
